The house was built in 1798 as the official residence of the garrison’s artillery commander. It was partially destroyed in the great fire of 1840 and repaired for residential use in 1851.

The building received its current form in 1914, following renovation plans designed by architect Gunnar Taucher.

The house is in the private ownership of the Aladin family.
