The vibrant and historic Juva Church Village offers many activities and experiences for both visitors and locals. Juva is also located close to Mikkeli, just 40 kilometers away.
The 8-kilometer-long Gottlund Loop is named after Carl Axel Gottlund (1796-1875), who collected folklore and led singers of epic poetry in Juva. The nature and culture trail allows you to explore the village's culture, history, and natural attractions all at once.
Along the route, there are 27 different marked attractions that tell the story of the area and its history. Traces of the Ice Age can be explored on the Silokallio cliffs and drumlin, which is a moraine ridge containing various types of soil. The trail also passes several beaches, allowing you to take a refreshing swim in the lake. The trail starts and ends at Partala Manor, and along the way, you can visit Gottlund's cabin and the old cemetery.
