Kultaankosket is a turbulent, free-flowing rapid area located on the lower Kymijoki River, on the border between Kotka and Kouvola. The rapids are protected under the Koskisuojelulaki and are part of the Kymijoki Natura 2000 area.

While Kultaankosket covers a large area, its drop is only 0.9 meters, meaning there are few turbulent sections. The most intense rapids are found near the western shore, where a small stopper creates suitable conditions for white-water swimming, an activity offered by a local entrepreneur.
