Mining Museum
1927–28, designed by architect W. G. Palmqvist.
The Mining Museum is located in the change house, previously used as the washing and dressing room for the miners. The change house accommodated large-scale washing facilities and locker rooms for approximately 400 men. The museum was founded in 1982.
Toilets in the hallway. The temporary exhibition “Vitality, fitness and corporate spirit – Exercise in the mining society”. An exhibition about the development of Outokumpu urban area.
