The mine repair shop was located near the main entrance of the mine, on the north side of the Outokumpu hill. The forge shop, the foundry, the carpentry department, and the tool storage were located in the middle part. The east wing housed the repair shop, and the electrician’s room, storage, the mine office, and the oil and acid storage areas were in the west wing. Later on, the repair shop was used for ore prospecting purposes.
