1926–1928, designed by architect W. G. Palmqvist.
A 30-metre mine tower was built at the opening of the mineshaft, at the highest point of the hillock. The ore was hoisted with ore skips, and other loads with the lift. The lift sheaves were located in the pit headframe, and the lifts were operated from the adjacent hoist room. There were two lifts in use, one for the rock and the other for the workers.
Crude ore was hoisted via the shaft to the headframe, and from there it was transferred to the crushing plant on the level below. The crushed rock was then transferred on a belt conveyor to the concentrating plant.
175 steps to reach the peak of the tower to admire the sight of the mining town.
