THE HILLSIDE CONCENTRATING PLANT, 1927, designed by architect W. G. Palmqvist
Extensions built in 1929, 1938, and 1942.
The concentrating plant was built on the southern side of the hillock, so that the ore from the shaft tower was easy to transport via the conveyors to the uppermost part of the concentrating plant. From there it ran under its own weight from one step to the next, through the various stages of the process. The operations of the concentrating plant stopped in 1954, but concentration was continued at the Keretti mine.
The highest point of the concentrating plant is over 50 metres above ground level.
