1938–39, designed by architect W. G. Palmqvist

Coarse and fine tailings were separated in the building. The coarse material was used as fill in the mine, while the finer material was transported to the tailings pond. In 1948–1954, gold was filtered from the tailings, and the building was named Kultala, from kulta, the Finnish word for gold.
