The tray is made of tin and painted by Axel Haartman, and was given as a Christmas gift to Hedvig Haartman. On the tray, he has depicted Hedvig's parents' villa, Toivola, in Ruovesi. The two figures in the image are Hedvig Haartman (standing) and her sister Alfhild (sitting). Around the tray are the names of Hedvig's parents, Johan and Augusta, along with the names of their seven children inscribed.
