Lat. Begonia corallina

Begonias belong to a large plant family. The French botanist Charles Plumier named the family after Bégon, a 17th-century governor of Haiti with an interest in plants. The first begonia was brought to Europe in the 19th century. The plant family has adapted well to irregular light conditions, making it a very popular houseplant.
