Lat. Hymenocallis

The spider lily originates from the Americas and belongs to the amaryllis family. Its flowers have narrow petals and sepals, giving them a distinctive, spider-like appearance. During its summer blooming period, the plant requires plenty of water and a bright location. In winter, it needs a period of rest and should be watered sparingly. The spider lily prefers well-drained soil and should be repotted every 2–3 years. It is propagated through offsets.
