Located on the southwest side of Izamal's ancient main plaza, the Hun Pik Tok Pyramid was part of the ceremonial core of the city. Its name can be translated as "Hundred Thousand Ball Game", evoking ritual practices or an important numerical symbolism in Maya culture. Today, only a retaining wall remains of this structure, visible at the back of the courtyard of the San Miguel Arcángel Hotel. Permission can be requested to access and observe this vestige integrated in the garden of the enclosure. In front of it is the temple of Kabul, known for its great stucco mask of the god Itzamná. Hun Pik Tok, along with other structures such as Kinich Kakmó and Pap Hol Chac, is evidence of the sacred splendor of ancient Izamal.
