Used as a set for Åke Lindman's film Lapin kullan kimallus (The Sparkle of Lapland Gold) in 1998 in Tankavaara area. To be more specific, it situated near gold panning competition arena. It was transferred to the Gold Museum outdoor area in 2013. Today, the saloon copy is used as the Gold Museum's summer café and exhibition space.
The original saloon had been built in 1870's and situated near Kultala Crown Station, not far from River Ivalojoki. Archaeological excavations at the site in 1998 pointed out the saloon had been about 200 meters from main building.
