The world's smallest restaurant car – seated 10 people and had alcohol serving license.
Pohjois-Suomen Kaivosrautatie Oy was operating on a narrow-gauge railway in Tankavaara since 1997. The track ran for 1,600 meters around Tankavaara, and part of it is still visible. The carriages were used to transport tourists, and despite its name, the track was not used for mining. Most of the rolling stock was transferred to Alaveteli when operations ceased in 2014, but the restaurant car donated to the Gold Museum is on display in the outdoor museum area. Kauko Launonen, the long-time host of Kultakylä, was responsible for the idea and implementation of the railway.
