This French-made Pingon excavator was used for gold mining in Palsinoja, but by the 2010s it was no longer in use. In 2019, the machine was restarted for gold mining and donated to the Gold Museum in 2021. Pingon is known for its unique way of movement: when using the excavator bucket, the machine rests on its base, and the wheels are lowered for movement.
