The Lichen garden is among the first of its kind in the world! Established in 2016, the lichens in this garden were brought to their current locations from various parts of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area.

The lichens and mosses are particularly important to us, as significant research has been conducted on them at the University of Helsinki for more than a century now!
