Lapunmäki Campus forms a central hub for education, recreation and community life in Konnevesi. The campus hosts the Lapunmäki Comprehensive School (for both primary and lower secondary grades) and the Konnevesi Upper Secondary School, which share modern facilities and a collaborative spirit.

The Konnevesi Upper Secondary School emphasizes individuality, flexibility and entrepreneurship in learning. Despite its small size, it offers diverse study options and active cooperation with the University of Jyväskylä, POKE, and other schools. Students can also complete parts of their studies online, and the school places strong emphasis on international collaboration and sustainable development.

Within the same campus operates Metsäpolku Daycare, providing early childhood education for 54 children. The daycare can also function as a 24-hour care unit for families working shifts. Its approach is guided by Finland’s early childhood education curriculum, focusing on play, nature and physical activity, with child-centred methods and close cooperation with parents.

The campus also includes the Konnevesi Library, Kukkula Youth House, Lapunmäki Sports Park, football field, and several other community facilities. Lapunmäki Campus is not just a place for education – it’s a lively, multi-generational environment where Konnevesi’s residents learn, move and connect.
