Situated in a prime location along the Konnevesi rapid route, Partiomaja serves as a charming open hut for short-term use. The small log cabin and its accompanying storage hut are available to all visitors following the principles of an open wilderness shelter, making it well-suited for both overnight stays and daytime breaks.

In 2019, a spacious covered fireplace shelter was built next to the building, providing a protected place to cook and relax regardless of the weather. Firewood, an outhouse and a tent sauna are also freely available for visitors.

Down by the water, there is an additional campfire spot and a natural landing area ideal for paddlers arriving from Liesvesi or from the Konnevesi direction. The walk from Partiomaja to the parking area – which also serves as the starting point of the Koskikara Trail – is approximately 550 meters.

Peaceful, scenic and surrounded by flowing river nature, Partiomaja is a wonderful base for enjoying the beauty of the Konnevesi rapids.
