Built over a century ago, Hiekkaharju Manor has lived many lives – once a farmhouse, later a poorhouse and municipal home, and now lovingly restored into a warm and welcoming retreat centre. Over the past three decades, the manor’s gardens have been revived, windows mended and logs polished, bringing new life to the historic estate.
Visitors are invited to enjoy empowering retreats, memorable events and celebrations, surrounded by the peace of the Konnevesi countryside. The atmosphere is homely and relaxed, complemented by delicious food and genuine hospitality.
The manor also holds its share of legends – the story of Countess Elsa, said to wander the halls on stormy nights searching for her lost husband, still sparks the imagination of guests. Whether truth or myth, her presence adds a touch of mystery to the house’s charm.
Attached to the manor is the Hiekkaharju Vintage Boutique "Take a Win Vintage", a pop-up store of Nordic and Italian design, glass, ceramics, rugs, art and furniture. Every piece is carefully selected for its craftsmanship, beauty and timelessness – reflecting the same values that define the manor itself.
Hiekkaharju Manor is more than a destination; it is a living story – a place to rest, reflect and be inspired.
