Keskisenkoski Rapids stretches for about 500 metres, flowing wide and powerfully between the Yläinen and Hannula rapids. Its broad headwaters form one of the best fishing spots in the area, where varying currents and rocky bottoms provide ideal conditions for wild brown trout. As the second-lowest rapid of the Konnevesi chain, Keskinen marks a key stage in the water’s journey toward Lake Etelä-Konnevesi.

The Konnevesi Rapids Route consists of seven magnificent rapids renowned throughout Finland as a premier fly-fishing destination. Here, in the heart of the country, crystal-clear waters meet wild fish and unspoiled scenery — offering an experience that is as meditative as it is thrilling.

The Konneveden Kosket fishing area holds the “Wild Trout Pro” classification, meaning all fishing follows strict sustainability guidelines to protect the valuable wild trout population. Keskisenkoski represents the spirit of responsible fishing — where every cast connects you not only with the river, but also with the enduring rhythm of Finnish nature.
