The trail begins at the Konnevesi Museum, where visitors can conveniently leave their car before heading into the forest. Clear blue trail markings guide hikers along 3 km, 4 km or 7 km route options, making the trail suitable for both relaxed family outings and longer nature walks.

The path winds through serene forest landscapes and eventually follows the gentle curves of the Lapunjoki River. Along the way, hikers can take a break at a scenic lean-to shelter — a peaceful spot to enjoy snacks, rest and listen to the sounds of nature. The shelter can also be reached by water, as it lies close to the mouth of Lapunjoki, accessible by canoe or boat from Lake Liesvesi.

Easily accessible and close to the village, the Forest trail, Vesanterinpolku, is an inviting introduction to Konnevesi’s natural beauty for hikers of all ages.
