The Paimionjoki Association established the Oinila Riverside Nature Trail in Paimio in 2018. The trail runs along the Paimionjoki River, right near the town center. Its realization was made possible through cooperation between the City of Paimio, private landowners, and the Apila activity center.

At the starting point of the trail, there is a small gravel area serving as a parking lot (address: Sähköyhtiöntie 32, Paimio). An information board is located at the beginning of the trail.

The Oinila Riverside Trail is not accessible for all users: the terrain is uneven, and parts of the route are quite steep — it is a traditional natural path. We have built some supporting structures to make it easier to cross ditches and to navigate the steeper slopes. The trail has been intentionally designed to remain close to nature, allowing visitors to experience the unique character of the Paimionjoki River and its surrounding landscape, both alone and together with others. The best footwear for the trail is rubber boots or sturdy hiking shoes. You can make the route a circular loop by returning to the parking area via the pedestrian road.

We remind visitors that the trail passes through land owned both by the City of Paimio and by private individuals. Let’s all take care to keep this valuable local nature area free of litter and respect the work and property of the landowners. Part of the trail runs along the edge of cultivated fields, so it is important not to walk on the fields — please stay clearly on the path or the roadside verge.

The maintenance and upkeep of the trail are the responsibility of the Paimionjoki Association.
