The Earth’s polar regions include the Arctic and Antarctic. Life is restricted by the cold, wintery windiness and the darkness of the polar night.
Spring in the Arctic is bustling and noisy. The birds are busy feeding their fledglings to have them on their wings before the end of the short summer. The use of available space is maximized, and so, many nests are squeezed into every square meter.
The polar bear is dependent on the sea ice: it wanders on ice floes hunting seals. If the beginning of the winter is postponed, the polar bear will stay hungry on the ice-free shores. So will the Arctic fox, who is keen on polar bear’s leftovers when eggs are not available.
