This lovely short walk in the forest is suitable for all ages. This valley is renowned for its rich diversity of orchids with more than 16 species, including the Lady’s slipper, a beautiful orchid that blooms in June/July. Many information signs along the route describe the area’s rich flora and fauna.

The car park/starting point is signposted from the E8. Drive approx. 10km up the Skibotndalen valley from Skibotn in the direction of the Finnish border until you reach the sign “Lullefjellet”, where you turn off the main road. An information board at the car park describes the route.

This walk takes about 40-60 min, depending on how many stops you make to look at the flora and fauna. Towards the end of the path, you can stop for a coffee break. There is a nice rustic shelter with a fireplace. For part of the route, the path leads along the banks of the Lulleelva river.

  • Lullesletta in the Skibotndalen valley/Ivgo- vuovdi, approx. 10 km from Skibotn towards the Finnish border, clearly signposted from the E8

  • Clear path and information signs

The difference in altitude between the lowest and highest points on the path is 100 m.
