A pride of lions has caught a zebra and are about to feast in the morning light of the savanna. Only female lions hunt, whereas males are in charge of keeping the females and cubs safe.
Notice the zebra’s panic poop on the ground! It is real feces. Hundreds of specimens were collected in the 2000’s while preparing this exhibition. A group from our museum took a three-week trip to Africa to collect feces, sand and plants in order to create a realistic replica of the environments. Take a moment to admire the countless details hidden in the dioramas!
When the evening turns into night, the nocturnal animals are on the move. You can see them if you peek behind the black curtains!
