This walk offers wonderful views of Skibotn from the hill Svarteberget/Čáhppesbákti and a nice waterfall at Hengen. Follow the road from the marketplace in Skibotn up to the floodlit cross-country ski trail. From here, a road/path is signposted up to the Svarteberget. Various paths lead to the sign.

From Svarteberget to Hengen, follow the path leading inwards and to the right (approx. 3 km). There is a clear path. After approx. 3 km you will arrive at Hengen, where you can see the waterfall. Several paths lead back, either to Olderelv Camping or the floodlit cross-country ski trail.

Alternative longer route: Svarteberget – Várdovárri – Sledo/Sleaddu – Hengen (10.4 km).

NB: You need to cross the Olderdalselva river. Part of the bridge is removed in winter so check that it has been set up again.
