1. Thunberg’s dam: The dam built between two small islands was completed in 1750 and is still behind the wall of the current inner basin.
2. Thunberg’s windmill: During construction, the dock basins were kept empty of water with the aid of a windmill. The windmill was removed from the dock area in 1782.
3. Pump room: The dock’s horse-powered pump, completed in 1759, was used to empty the basins. The pump room is located beneath the Tenaille von Fersen banquet hall and can be visited on a guided tour.
4. Galley dock / inner basin: The form of the current inner basin was completed in 1916–1917 when it was deepened and the old lock gate and the repair dock were filled. Nowadays, the basin serves as a dock for traditional wooden vessels. The capacity of the inner basin is 50,000 m3 and it can be filled with water in half a day.
5. Galley dock’s lock gate: The old lock gate of the dock has been partially reconstructed on the dock shoreline.
6. Repair dock / plate workshop: The plate workshop was built in 1917 on top of the filled repair dock to house the dock’s pump room, boiler room and workshops. An aircraft factory operated in this building in the 1920s.
7. Ship dock / outer basin: The outer basin took its current form in 1933.

11. Dementjev’s sauna: In 1877, Merchant Dementjev built a two-storey stone building on top of Thunberg’s dam to serve as a sauna for the garrison. The western section of the building was demolished in the 1960s to give way to a crane runway.
12. Bastion Taube: The partly destroyed fortification currently houses a boatbuilding workshop specialising in wooden boats.
13. Ammunition foundry / guest harbour: Built in 1871–1872. Currently used as a guest harbour.
14. New plate workshop: In 1945, a new plate workshop and machine shop were built for the dock. There was also a model maker’s shop on the upper floor. Nowadays, the building is a boat storage and repair hall, with a sail making room on the upper floor.
15. Windmill / smithy: The building was originally the dock’s pump room. It had initially three storeys, on top of which stood a wooden windmill powering the pumping system. Now the building houses a smithy.
16. Crane: The dock has three cranes. A decommissioned rotary tower crane is on display as a museum piece.
