A beautiful scenic route along the Kymijoki River in the Kotka area. Experience the wild and free-flowing rapids of the Kymijoki River, the maritime atmosphere of Kotka city, and the interesting sights along the route. The Koskipyöräilyreitti (Rapids Cycling Route) follows the banks of the Kymijoki River, passing six free-flowing rapids, each with historical significance. Key sights include the Langinkoski Imperial Fishing Lodge, built at the request of Tsar Alexander III in the late 1800s, now a museum and protected area, and the Kyminlinna Fortress, built under the orders of Catherine the Great in 1790.

You can start the tour from any point along the route, although the starting point is in front of Wellamo.
